TENCEL® is extracted from botanical fibers and it's performance and feel outperforms traditional sheet materials.
TENCEL® is made of extremely small fibers called fibrils that wick moisture 50% more effectively than cotton. The fibers are extremely smooth where wool and cotton have rough fiber surfaces and can cause irritation.
In cultivated forest land TENCEL® can be produced from wood chips and the process uses 10 - 20 times less water than cotton during cultivation. Fiber production itself is extremely eco-friendly due to the closed loop system.
